MMFF 2011: Pintakasi Movie Trailer

The Metro Manila Film Festival 2011 recently opened a new segment called 'New Wave Section' which aims to focus on the rising independent movie scene.

Lee Meily's Pintakasi is one of the finalists for this year. The movie stars JM de Guzman, John Wayne Sace, Boots Anson Roa, Giselle Sanches, Alcris Galura and Erich Gonzales.

MMFF 2011: Dyagwar (Havey o Waley?)

Comedian/Writer Ogie Diaz is now a producer! Here's his first independent movie venture, which luckily made it to the final cut of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2011 New Wave Section.

The movie is entitled Dyagwar (Havey o Waley?). It is a story of two body guards and their misadventures. This sex-comedy is led by Eric Frustuoso and Boom Labrusca. Also starring RR Enriquez, Marissa Sanchez, Bekimon and many more.

CROSSROADS is the new film of Bebs Gohetia in partnership with Commission on Population and Integrated Media. This movie tackles the current problems of the youth related to unwanted pregnancy, prostitution and drugs. Starring Mercedes Cabral, Aleera Montalla, Sue Prado, Felix Roco and Joseph Bitangcol with teen indie actors Zoe Sandejas, Yohann Alcantara, Christian Rainier Veron, Natasha Cabrera and Hannah dela Guerra.
